Small Social Bookmarking Update

A small update to the blog:

I got rid of the clunky DIGG button and instead am using what appears to be a pretty slick WP plugin called “Social Bookmarking Reloaded“. I can choose which sites I want represented on this blog via an interface that looks like what you will see at the bottom of each post.

I have picked what I think are the “biggies” - otherwise it looks obnoxious.

It still looks a bit awkward, though. I will think about it.

Social Networking and Social Bookmarking is a pretty hot topic with one of my clients right now. There is internal argument as to whether or not a message forum will open them to liability claims. Apparently, the laws that would dictate culpability are not particularly lucid.

Another company I am working with has been told my their sponsor that they do *not* want any social networking on the website they have been contracted to build. The sponsor says that social networking and in particular, the presence of message forums, opens them to too many problems. I cannot say too much about this because of nondisclosure issues, but I can speak to the issue in general, and I probably will get around to detailing what I can for you, this week.

Excuse me, have you change “Segnala presso” string with “Go ahead, recommend it!” and “Aggiungi…” with “Recommend…” in social-bookmarking-reloaded.php file or in plugin panel?

    Thank you

It is in the settings panel for the plugin. Once you install it, you will see.
